  1. He was 4 years old when he started racing in 1980. He went on to win the 60cc class championship after 3 years.
  2. At the 1998 Indianapolis Raceway Park event, Jimmie Johnson made his NASCAR Busch Series (later known as NASCAR Xfinity Series) debut as he finished 25th for ST Motorsports.
  3. He was recognized as one of People magazine’s “Men in the Fast Lane” in 2000.
  4. In 2005, he made his first theatrical film appearance by appearing as himself in the sports comedy film Herbie: Fully Loaded. The film stars Lindsay Lohan, Justin Long, Breckin Meyer, Matt Dillon, and Michael Keaton.
  5. Jimmie Johnson has been the winner of the Driver of the Year Award five times (2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, and 2013).
