Lallianzuala Chhangte Facts

  1. He started playing soccer in grade one.
  2. His father was a teacher and his mother a tailor.
  3. Lallianzuala played his debut game in the 2014-15 I-League U19 season, for DSK Shivajians‘s Liverpool International Football Academy in 2014, in their under-18 team. He completed the season with 16 goals leading his team to 7th place in the finale.
  4. Despite having signed his first professional contract with DSK Shivajians, he was loaned to NorthEast United FC where he played his first professional game in the 2016 Indian Super League season.
  5. He was called upon by coach Lee Johnson to play on the India U19 team at the AIFF in the 2015 Asia U18 Champions Trophy.
  6. Chhangte was picked by Delhi Dynamos for the 2017–18 Indian Super League season for INR 27 lakhs and played his debut game for them on November 22, 2017, against FC Pune City.
  7. He represented his country at the 2018 SAFF Championship and was further included in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
  8. It was his grandfather’s dream to play for the Indian soccer team.
