2. Lil Wayne was so impressed with his skills that he flew him to Atlanta to see how good he was in the recording studio. He eventually was signed up with Wayne’s Young Money record label.
3. At the age of 10, he released his first single, The Texas Twist, which managed to rank at the top of music charts in Dallas for 6 straight weeks.
4. In 2011, the reputed hip hop magazine XXL featured him in their Freshman Class feature, which is used to list out the most promising hip hop talents of the year.
5. In July 2013, he was arrested in Calabasas, California after he was caught driving his friend Justin Bieber’s car at about 60-70 mph in the zone where speed was restricted to 30 mph.
6. In March 2015, Lil Twist was arrested and charged with 2 counts of assault with deadly weapon, burglary, grand theft, battery, and making criminal threats.
7. Before his arrest, Twist and four of his accomplices had assaulted Disney actor Kyle Massey and Massey’s brother, Christopher Massey after entering into Kyle’s property.
8. After he pleaded guilty in December 2015, he was handed a 1-year prison sentence. However, he was released after just seven and a half weeks on account of his good behavior.
