  1. Growing up, he supported Racing Club de Avellaneda.
  2. The first-ever football match Mauricio Pochettino watched on television was the 1978 FIFA World Cup. He watched the match with his father Héctor at Centro Recreativo Unión y Cultura, the local sports club in Murphy.
  3. He played both football and volleyball between the age of 8 and 10.
  4. He signed for Paris Saint-Germain for an undisclosed fee in January 2001.
  5. Replacing Nigel Adkins, Mauricio Pochettino was appointed as the new first-team manager of Southampton on January 18, 2013. With this, he became the 2nd Argentine manager in English football after Osvaldo Ardiles.
  6. He was announced as the head coach of Tottenham Hotspur on May 27, 2014.
  7. Mauricio Pochettino was sacked by Tottenham Hotspur on November 19, 2019, due to “extremely disappointing” domestic results. He had said,
