- Zara Phillips (2008-Present) – In March 2008, he started going out with Zara Phillips (a British equestrian, an Olympian, and a relative of the British royal family). They first met during the 2003 Rugby World Cup in Australia. Zara is the oldest granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and is the niece of King Charles III. Mike and Zara’s engagement was announced by Buckingham Palace on December 21, 2010. According to the requirement at the time by the Royal Marriages Act 1772, the Queen gave her consent to their marriage on May 10, 2011, in a meeting of the Privy Council. On July 30, 2011, the couple got married at Canongate Kirk in Edinburgh with 400 guests in attendance, including the royal family. They resided in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire in a £1.2 million home before shifting to Gatcombe Park estate near Minchinhampton. Their home, Aston Farm, is a seven-bedroom farmhouse next to the Gatcombe Park estate. It was announced on January 17, 2014, that Zara had given birth to a baby girl at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. The child was named Mia Grace Tindall and was christened on November 30, 2014, at St Nicholas’s church in the village of Cherington in Gloucestershire.
