- He is the middle child of 3 siblings born to Mugur and Mahadevamma.
- Prabhu had sought out his passion for dancing from his father Mugur Sundar.
- As a choreographer, Prabhu made his debut in Vetri Vizha (1989). It featured brilliant actors like Kamal Hassan, Prabhu, and Amala Mukherjee.
