  1. He began writing his first book titled The End of Faith following the September 11 attacks and it was published years later in 2004. The book found a place in the New York Times bestseller list for 33 weeks and was awarded the PEN/Martha Albrand Award for ‘First Nonfiction’.
  2. Harris has had stirring debates on the topic of religion and God with distinguished personalities such as Jordan Peterson, Reza Aslan, William Lane Craig, Rick Warren, Robert Wright, Jean Houston, Andrew Sullivan, Deepak Chopra, Ben Shapiro, David Wolpe, etc.
  3. He began hosting the Making Sense podcast (originally titled Waking Up) in September 2013. Furthermore, he released his own meditation app called Waking Up with Sam Harris in September 2018.
