  1. His phenomenal turn as the villain Mogambo in Shekhar Kapur‘s blockbuster film, Mr. India (1987) is considered to be one of Indian cinema’s greatest villains of all time.
  2. Amrish Puri shaved his head for the first time while playing the villain Mola Ram in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984). His look was so widely appreciated that he decided to shave his head from then on.
  3. His filmography also included Hollywood films such as Steven Spielberg‘s Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), in which he played Mola Ram and Richard Attenborough‘s Gandhi (1982), in which he played Dada Abdulla Hajee Adab.
