The couple got married on May 8, 2018, in a private ceremony in Mumbai. In March 2022, it was revealed that Sonam and Anand were expecting their first child together. 1. Once Anand completed his post-graduation, he worked as an intern with Amazon.com in Seattle, United States and also gained experience as an assistant buyer at the retail giant Macy’s, before returning to Delhi and joining his family’s business ventures.
2. His work experience also includes learning about the garment manufacturing process and raw material sourcing at his uncle’s apparel warehouse in New Jersey. He then spent 6 months learning about lean manufacturing at one of his father’s factories in Bangalore.
3. After his marriage to actress Sonam Kapoor, she had changed her name to Sonam K Ahuja on her social media accounts and many fans questioned her feminist image. Anand responded by changing his name on social media accounts to Anand S Ahuja. The move was lauded by netizens and media alike, as an example of modern gender parity.
4. In early 2022, Anand and Sonam Kapoor’s Delhi house was robbed of cash and jewelry worth INR 2.4 crore. They got to know of this robbery on February 11, 2022. Later in the month, the robbers were arrested and were identified as a nurse and her husband who were treating Anand’s mother. They used to give sedatives to Anand’s mother and steal valuable items from her room which they were doing for the last 11 months from getting arrested. Overall, they paid off their debts, covered the treatment costs of their own parents, and bought a second-hand car with the money and jewelry they stole.
