Dustin Johnson is an American professional golfer who has primarily plied his trade on the PGA (Professional Golfers’ Association) Tour. He has won major championships including the 2016 U.S. Open and the 2020 Masters Tournament; the latter with a then-record score of 268 (20-under-par). He had won the 2020 FedEx Cup Championship and had finished joint 2nd at the 2011 Open Championship and the 2015 U.S. Open. He has also won several World Golf Championship titles including WGC-HSBC Champions (2013), WGC-Cadillac Championship (2015), WGC-Bridgestone Invitational (2016), WGC-Mexico Championship (2017, 2019), and WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play (2017). As of November 2020, he had been ranked number 1 in the world over different periods of time, adding up to more than 100 weeks. At the team level, representing the United States, he had won the biennial Ryder Cup (2010, 2012, 2016) and the Presidents Cup (2011, 2015, 2017, 2019). He was named the PGA ‘Player of the Year’ in 2016 and the PGA ‘Tour Player of the Year’ in both 2016 and 2020. He had also won the Vardon Trophy (2016, 2018) and the Byron Nelson Award (2016, 2018).
