He told his Wham! partner Andrew Ridgeley that he was bisexual at the age of 19. Finally, in 1999, in an interview, he revealed that he was actually gay. As per him, it was after falling in love with a man that ended his conflict over bisexuality. He said –

I never had a moral problem with being gay. I thought I had fallen in love with a woman a couple of times. Then I fell in love with a man, and realised that none of those things had been love.
