Gurmeet Choudhary is an Indian actor and martial artist who became a household name in the country when he portrayed Lord Rama in the epic mythological TV series Ramayan (2008-2009). He is also well recognized for playing the leading roles of Maan Singh Khurana in the soap opera Geet – Hui Sabse Parayi (2010-2011) and Yash Suraj Pratap Sindhia in the drama TV series Punar Vivah (2012-2013). His film career kicked off in 2015 with the lead role of Jaidev Dhanrajgir in the psychological thriller film Khamoshiyan. He has also played starring roles in the romantic crime-thriller film Wajah Tum Ho (2016), the 2017 romantic comedy-drama film Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana, and the 2018 action-war film Paltan.

- He has participated, with grand success, in several dance competition-based reality TV shows. He won the 5th season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa in 2012 and had finished as a runner-up in the 6th season of Nach Baliye (2013-2014), where he had participated with his wife Debina as his partner.
- He came to Mumbai in 2001 in order to pursue an acting career.
- In the extension series of the latter, titled Nach Baliye Shriman v/s Shrimati, the participating couples had competed against their respective partners instead of each other as a pair. Gurmeet was named the ‘Best Performer’ of the series.
