Ontronik Khachaturian is an Armenian-American musician, producer, and DJ who is known for having been the original drummer of the metal band, System of a Down, from 1994 to 1997. He has also gained acknowledgment as the founder/lead vocalist of the alt-progressive rock band Mt. Helium as well as for being a member of his band VoKee. In addition to that, Ontronik Khachaturian has also served as the founder/drummer/keyboardist and backing vocalist of the band called KillMatriarch.

1. He grew up in California, United States.
2. He met Daron Malakian and Shavo Odadjian in high school.
3. Later, in the year 1994, Ontronik Khachaturian met Serj Tankian when they decided to form the band System of a Down.
4. He worked with System of a Down for around 3 years during which they recorded a demo titled “Untitled 1995 Demo”, “Demo Tape 1”, “Demo Tape 2”, “Demo Tape 3”, and “Demo Tape 4”.
5. While practicing Jeet Kune Do, he suffered a hand injury in 1997 and had to subsequently leave the band. He was then replaced by John Dolmayan.
6. After his departure from System of a Down, Ontronik Khachaturian co-founded the American rock band, Mt. Helium (formerly known as the Apex Theory), along with Art Karamian and David Hakopyan.
7. As a member of The Apex Theory, he released the band’s debut studio album, Topsy-Turvy, on April 2, 2002, and it included tracks like Mucus Shifters, Bravo, Aisle Always, In Books, That’s All!, Right Foot, and Add Mission. The album peaked at number #6 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and at number #157 on the Billboard 200 chart.
8. He left Mt. Helium in 2002 citing musical differences.
9. In 2010, as a member and co-founder of the industrial rock trio KillMatriarch, Ontronik produced the band’s debut extended play, Order Through Chaos.
