Hi, I’m a fan from the early 80s”, being only two years younger than Ms. Abdul. This message is in regards to the “airplane” crash in 1993 (as per Wiki) in which she injured her back. You do not address this incident on this site, but as I understand it, people are giving her flak about this incident, saying it never happened, but as a long time fan, I have an important piece of information, that will settle the whole debate. I heard the news reports on the car radio on the way home from work. She absolutely was in an accident, that is 100% true, but it involved her TOUR BUS not an airplane (a really EZ mistake for a rising star with a fast paced life)! I remember this vividly because I almost had a heart attack when I heard the news, and waited impatiently for news of her condition. Two days later, they announced that she had injured her back. I honestly hope this shuts up the haters who say there was no accident. They can now go look (and possibly find) an accident report involving your bus that year. I posted this same information on Paula’s FB page a few hours ago, but it doesn’t appear that Paula or her staff respond to FB comments, so it is unclear whether they are read by any one either. All I really want is to get this message to someone with the resources, motivation and ability to re-check the records looking for a tour bus accident instead of a plane crash, and prove Paula didn’t make up the story, she just mis-remembered a key detail.
