Besides Rowdy Rebel, Bobby Shmurda and 13 others associated with GS9 were also arrested for various charges including drug dealing. Rowdy Rebel pleaded not guilty to all charges. In exchange for a deal that sentenced him to 6–7 years in prison, he pleaded guilty and due to the time served awaiting his trial, he was given around two years credit for time served. In August 2020, a parole hearing was scheduled and it approved his release in December 2020.
