- She gained widespread recognition with her role as Maya Awasthy in Aamir Khan‘s directorial debut, Taare Zameen Par (2007). The film was sent as India’s official entry in the ‘Best Foreign Language Film’ category at the 2008 Academy Awards. However, the film did not make the final cut.
