David Walliams is an English comedian, writer, actor, and television personality who is best known for his work on Little Britain and Come Fly With Me.   1. He had to change his stage name to David Walliams while registering with the actors’ union Equity as there was another actor registered by the name of David Williams.
  2. David’s father passed away in 2007 due to an aggressive form of liver cancer.
  3. In 1990, while on holidays from the university, he worked with the National Youth Theatre. It was while working at National Youth Theatre, he met his future collaborated and close friend Matt Lucas.
  4. He has suffered from bipolar disease. He swam across the English Channel to redeem himself from his past bouts of self-hatred. It also helped raise money for the benefit of the Sport Relief.
