Hillary Clinton is an American politician, diplomat, and former lawyer who is best known for having served as the First Lady of the United States as the wife of President Bill Clinton from 1993 to 2001, as the 67th United States Secretary of State for President Barack Obama from 2009 to 2013, and as a United States senator representing New York from 2001 to 2009. As a member of the Democratic Party, she was announced as the party’s nominee for president in the 2016 presidential election and became the first woman to win a presidential nomination by a major U.S. political party. She has also released several books such as It Takes a Village: And Other Lessons Children Teach Us, Dear Socks, Dear Buddy: Kids’ Letters to the First Pets, State of Terror, and An Invitation to the White House: At Home with History.

Hillary attended a number of public schools in Park Ridge before joining the Maine East High School located in the north suburb of Chicago.
