Katy Perry Diet Plan Workout Routine

American pop sensation, Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson or more popularly known by her stage name, Katy Perry is well known for her flamboyant appearances. She has an amazing body as she loves to care about her diet and pays some stress on exercises too. This 5 ft 8 inch tall celebrity knows that jumping on the stage is not enough for staying fit. Hence, she indulges herself in Harley Pasternak’s 5 Factor Diet, according to which she is supposed to have 5 small meals the whole day. This keeps her metabolism rate steady and helps in weight loss too. Eating small meals throughout the day has really proved itself as a boon for all the persons who are serious about losing weight as you don’t overeat, intake all the required nutrients, energy levels will remain high and will satisfy an individual.

She is mostly traveling and so gets less time to rest. She still manages herself to stay in good shape. Perry said to People magazine –

“When I was on the road, I liked to have a light soup, a piece of grilled chicken and some quinoa with grilled asparagus for dinner.”

Quinoa (pronounced keen-wah) is one of the light and wholesome grains that can be best eaten in the form of salads. This can be easily prepared at home. For that, cook the quinoa by boiling it for 15 minutes in water. Drain the water and let it cool. Now, add the chopped veggies like onion, tomato, carrot, garlic and sunflower seeds. Add olive oil, parsley. Toss well and garnish it with olives, low-fat cheese and season it with salt, lemon.

Her dieting habits like this have given fruitful results and kept her energy levels high for the stage show. She says that she can’t afford to get sick. In her own words –

“When I was on the road, it was very important to eat a balanced meal and to make sure my energy was up for every two hour show.”

She likes fresh juices, coconut water, veggies and hummus, tangerines and goes for these besides any other unhealthy food options.

She also has cheat days on which she is allowed to eat whatever she wants. Hence, she likes to indulge herself in In-N-Out Burgers, Mexican food, chocolate.

Her ideal day would be waking up early in the morning, going for workouts outside, meditation and yes, enjoying the fresh air.

KP’s workout routine is not much intense. She does go to the gym, but not a gym lover like bodybuilders. She goes for hiking and do cardio like running, cycling, etc. She likes to go outside and enjoys the fresh air alongside with the exercises designed by Harley Pasternak. Harley is really awesome with his programmes and so he has a great list of clients including (but not limited to) Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Megan Fox, Robert Pattinson, Kanye West.

  1. I’ve read about Katy’s exercise and health diet in various places and got motivated a lot through her. I started cardio at the gym because of her. Katy emphasises the importance of drinking water a lot, and since I’ve had kidney stones removed twice it’s not hard anymore to convince me how right she is. She is a very sensible person.
