1. He started dancing at the age of 8. He was initially involved in jazz dance but after watching The Nutcracker, he switched his interest to ballet while he was in 3rd grade.
2. His parents wanted him to learn the piano and Taekwondo. However, he quickly lost interest in both and decided to abandon his classes.
3. After being encouraged by his father, he participated in the SM Youth Best Contest, which he managed to win. After his win, he was signed up by SM Entertainment in 2007. He was 13 years old at that time.
4. Kim Jong-in holds the distinction of being the first Exo member to be publicly announced in December 2011.
5. In December 2017, he was featured on the cover of The Big Issue‘s ‘December issue’.
