Yubin is a South Korean singer, songwriter, rapper, musician, businessperson, actor, and television personality who is the founder and CEO of the entertainment agency RRR Entertainment. Yubin gained popularity as a member of the South Korean girl group Wonder Girls which was formed in 2007 by JYP Entertainment. The group’s discography consists of albums, extended plays, and tracks like The Wonder Years, Wonder World, Reboot, The Wonder Begins, Why So Lonely, 2 Different Tears, Nobody for Everybody, Wonder Party, It’s Not Love (미안한 마음), Irony, Tell Me, Nobody, This Fool (이 바보), Be My Baby, I Feel You, and Why So Lonely. Wonder Girls disbanded in 2017 and Yubin made her debut as a solo artist in 2018. As a solo artist, she has released songs such as Lady (숙녀 (淑女)), Silent Movie (무성영화) (ft. Yoon Mi-rae), Wave, Thank U Soooo Much, Perfume (향수), and Yaya (Me Time) (넵넵 (ME TIME)). - She was a tomboy during her younger years and sported short hair.
- Along with G.NA, After School‘s Uee, Secret‘s Jun Hyo-seong, and Spica‘s Yang Ji-won, Yubin was originally set to debut as a member of Five Girls under Good Entertainment but the band disbanded before its scheduled debut in 2007 due to Good Entertainment’s financial struggles. The members subsequently joined different South Korean entertainment companies.
- On September 7, 2007, Yubin made her debut as a new member of the girl group Wonder Girls. She replaced Hyuna and was introduced as the main rapper of the group.
