Alongside Radhika Madan, Deepak Dobriyal, and Kareena Kapoor Khan, he co-starred as Champak Ghasiteram Bansal (a widower and a sweet-shop owner in Udaipur, Rajasthan) in the 2020 Hindi-language comedy-drama film Angrezi Medium. This role won him the Filmfare Award for “Best Actor” while he was also nominated for an IIFA Award. This was Irrfan’s final film to be released before his death.
