Jim Parsons is an American actor, producer, stage actor, and voiceover artist who is best known for playing the role of Sheldon Cooper in the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory, a role for which he received many accolades including the Primetime Emmy Award for “Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series”, Critics’ Choice Television Award for “Best Actor in a Comedy Series”, Golden Globe Award for “Best Actor– Television Series: Musical or Comedy”, and People’s Choice Award for “Favorite TV Comedic Actor”. Forbes also named him the world’s highest-paid television actor in 2018 with an estimated annual salary of $26.5 million. Parsons has also appeared in other shows and movies like The Boys in the Band, Hidden Figures, Wish I Was Here, On the Road with Judas, Hollywood, Young Sheldon, The Normal Heart, Judging Amy, 10 Items or Less, A Kid Like Jake, and Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.
