  1. The producers of Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils had initially cast actress Liu Tao in the role of Wang Yuyan. However, after 15-year-old Yifei aced her audition, they decided to cast her in the lead role and cast Tao in the role of A Zhu.
  2. She co-starred as Bai Qian/Si Yin/Su Su in the 2017 romantic drama fantasy film Once Upon a Time. This role got her nominated in the “Best Actress” category at the 9th Macau International Movie Festival.
  3. She played the titular role in the 2020 American fantasy action drama film Mulan, a live-action adaptation of Disney’s 1998 film of the same name. She co-starred in the film alongside Donnie Yen, Tzi Ma, Jason Scott Lee, Yoson An, Ron Yuan, Gong Li, and Jet Li.
