  1. He grew up in the Ninth Ward of New Orleans.
  2. On September 15, 1998, Magic released his debut studio album Sky’s the Limit. It was ranked at number #3 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and at number #15 on the Billboard 200 chart.
  3. His 2nd studio album titled Thuggin’ was released on August 31, 1999, and it reached number #53 on the Billboard 200 chart and number #9 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
  4. In 2003, Magic was cast in the action-comedy film Hollywood Homicide, whose cast also included the likes of Harrison Ford, Josh Hartnett, Lena Olin, Bruce Greenwood, Isaiah Washington, Keith David, Master P, and Martin Landau.
  5. Magic played the role of Dwayne in the 2010 action-thriller film Sinners and Saints, set in the dark underbelly of New Orleans. It starred Johnny Strong, Kevin Phillips, Costas Mandylor, Sean Patrick Flanery, Bas Rutten, Method Man, Kim Coates, and Tom Berenger.
  6. His 4th and final studio album, On My Own, was released on August 26, 2003, and it reached number #54 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
  7. In 2011, he founded his own label named Banx Entertainment.
