Victor Wembanyama is a French professional basketball player who is considered one of the greatest basketball prospects of his generation and with a listed height of 7 feet 5 inches (2.26 meters), he became the tallest active NBA player. In 2019, his professional career started with Nanterre 92 of the LNB Pro A. He then moved to ASVEL after 2 years, winning the Pro A title in his only season with the team. He signed with Metropolitans 92 for the 2022–23 season and became the youngest player to win the Pro A MVP award while earning Pro A Best Defender honors and leading the league in scoring, rebounds, and blocks. In addition to that, he has also been named an LNB All-Star twice, winning All-Star Game MVP once, and is a 3-time Pro A Best Young Player. He has also played for the San Antonio Spurs of the National Basketball Association (NBA). As a part of the French national team, he led his team to 2 silver medals at the youth level, including at the 2021 FIBA Under-19 World Cup, where he set the FIBA record for blocks per game in a single tournament.

- Before he started focusing on basketball, Wembanyama used to play football as a goalkeeper as well as practice judo.
- He was 7 years old when he played for Entente Le Chesnay Versailles and then joined the youth system of Nanterre 92 at age 10.
