  1. While in his senior year at high school, he got admission to the University of California, Los Angeles. But had to drop the idea because of financial issues.
  2. At the age of 11, he was involved in a horrific accident as he was hit by a cement truck. He suffered multiple leg fractures which needed several surgeries over three years.
  3. In 2006, he collaborated with his future Workaholics co-creators to establish the sketch comedy group Mail Order Comedy.
  4. Although he did participate in a number of theaters during school days, he didn’t seriously think about acting till he moved to California.
  5. In the 5th grade, he had a serious obsession with Jim Carrey and his movie Ace Ventura (1994).
  6. One of his first jobs in his hometown Omaha was to sell steaks on phone.
  7. In every year of high school, he tried out for the school basketball team but was never selected.
  8. Along with Danny McBride, Edi Patterson, Tony Cavalero, Cassidy Freeman, Skyler Gisondo, Gregalan Williams, Tim Baltz, Dermot Mulroney, Walton Goggins, John Goodman, and Jennifer Nettles, he started co-starring as Kelvin Gemstone (Eli’s youngest son and youth pastor of the Gemstone Salvation Center) in the comedy crime television series The Righteous Gemstones in 2019.
  9. He provided vocals to the character of Edward “Ed” Flummel in the 2021 computer-animated adventure comedy film Extinct.
