- Sara Khan (2010-2011) – In 2010, he got married to model and actor Sara Khan in an Islamic wedding ceremony at Bigg Boss 4. It was claimed that the couple was paid ₹5 million (US$66,000) by the Colors channel for the marriage and it was reported that it was just a publicity stunt. However, Colors denied all such claims and stated that it was the couple’s own wish to get married. The marriage soon turned out to be a disaster and Ali Merchant and Sara Khan divorced after 2 months in 2011.
