- He made his debut theatrical film appearance as Rahul Mehta in Tere Mere Sapne in 1996.
- According to sources, his father was an ex-MLA from Aligarh and his mother was the daughter of the Maharaja of Balongir in Orissa.
- Chandrachur had a strong start in the film industry, however, all of that fell to pieces when he dislocated his shoulder joint multiple times while water skiing in Goa.
