  1. He used to play at a local park with boys much older than him and that’s how he improved his football skills.
  2. His family supported Florida Gators while he grew up as a fan of the Miami Hurricanes.
  3. During his time at Brentwood Academy, Jalen Ramsey was a two-sport star in football and track & field and was rated by both Rivals.com and Scout.com as a five-star recruit as well as one of the top overall recruits in his class.
  4. As a high school track star, he accomplished many records and shattered the Tennessee state record in the long jump with a mark of 25′ 3.25″, breaking the 16-year-old record set in 1997. He also recorded personal bests in the high jump at 6′ 8″ and the triple jump at 47′ 7″ as well as a top throw of 49′ 11″ in the shot put.
  5. At the NCAA Indoor Championships, he recorded his personal best jump of 26′ 1.75″ in March 2015.
  6. In the 2016 NFL Draft, Ramsey was considered to be a top ten pick by NFL media analysts Daniel Jeremiah, Charles Davis, and Mike Mayock and was eventually selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the first round with the fifth overall pick. He became the earliest drafted cornerback in Jaguars‘ franchise history. He was signed to a four-year, $23.35 million deal (that included $22.90 million guaranteed and a signing bonus of $15.18 million) on May 22, 2016.
  7. He made his NFL debut in the season-opener against the Green Bay Packers in 2016 and went on to finish his rookie season with 65 combined tackles (55 solo), 14 pass deflections, two interceptions, and a touchdown in 16 games and 16 starts.
  8. In 2017, he was involved in an altercation with Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A. J. Green.
  9. In an interview with GQ in August 2018, Jalen Ramsey provided his unfiltered opinions of several NFL quarterbacks and went on to criticize players such as Joe Flacco, Josh Allen, Andrew Luck, Eli Manning, Ben Roethlisberger, Matt Ryan, and Jared Goff.
