- He was brought up in the United States alongside his 2 sisters after being adopted.
- John began taking an interest in dancing while he was in grade 2. It was his mother who signed him up for lessons after not being able to deal with the level of energy he possessed.
- He joined the YouTube community with his self-titled channel on September 2, 2014. However, the last video that John uploaded to his account was on October 1, 2020. It was a video of him and the everlasting friendship that he and his friend James shared with one another.
- Aside from dancing, John also hosted the World of Dance DX and Boys of Summer 2020 tour that included the likes of Diego Martir, Payton Moormeier, Luca Schaefer-Charlton, Carlos Mena, Roshaun Diah, Julian Barboza, Max Dressler, Dylan Hartman, and Ashley Newman.
