  1. He spent his early childhood years growing up in Plymouth, Montserrat. Later on, his family shifted to Antigua after the 1995 Soufrière Hills volcanic eruption destroyed the family home and they eventually settled in Preston, England.
  2. When he was 14 years old, Kadiff Kirwan acted in school in a production of Bugsy Malone.
  3. He made his first theatrical film appearance by playing the role of Attaché in the 2018 historical drama film Mary Queen of Scots, starring Saoirse Ronan, Margot Robbie, Jack Lowden, Joe Alwyn, David Tennant, and Guy Pearce. The film is based on John Guy’s 2004 biography Queen of Scots: The True Life of Mary Stuart.
  4. Kadiff Kirwan was cast as Mayor in the mystery fantasy comedy film Detective Pikachu in 2019.
  5. In 2020, he was seen as Henri Dupre in an episode titled Death in the Salon of the British–French crime comedy-drama television series Death in Paradise.
  6. He brought to life the character of Nigel in the romantic drama film My Policeman in 2022. Based on the 2012 novel of the same name by Bethan Roberts, the film stars Harry Styles, Emma Corrin, and others.

  8. Reflecting on his desire to act, he has stated, “I was bad at school […] really bad. And I had a drama teacher who from Year 9 onwards hounded me and told me that my behavior issues would calm down if I went to drama classes after school. She kept pestering and eventually I went. Suddenly, everything started making sense: I was acting out because I was dealing with being gay and not telling my peers or my family because they’re quite religious […] I was going through a lot at the time, and acting was the thing that saved me. It gave me my voice.”
  9. Kirwan’s theatre credits include playing Nadia Fall in a production of Home in 2013, Jerome Hanikie in a production of The Vote in 2015, and Skye Masterson in a production of Guys and Dolls in 2019.
