  1. Growing up, he was influenced by artists such as the Beastie Boys, LL Cool J, and Kool Moe Dee and started writing rap lyrics in 1986.
  2. Initially, Slaine wanted to pursue a career in filmmaking.
  3. He reportedly shifted to New York City in 1996.
  4. Slaine made his first theatrical film appearance by playing the role of Bubba Rogowski in the 2007 neo-noir crime thriller film Gone Baby Gone.
  5. In 2010, he was cast as Albert “Gloansy” MacGloan in the crime thriller film The Town. Adapted from Chuck Hogan’s 2004 novel Prince of Thieves, the film stars Ben Affleck, Rebecca Hall, Jon Hamm, Jeremy Renner, Blake Lively, Titus Welliver, Pete Postlethwaite, and Chris Cooper.
