  1. He was born into a middle-class family.
  2. After discovering his passion for acting, Neeraj Sood decided to hone his skills by attending a drama school and subsequently joined the National School of Drama (NSD).
  3. He shifted to Mumbai, Maharashtra after completing a diploma in acting from the National School of Drama (NSD).
  4. In 2002, he made his film debut in the Hindi-language film Kali Salwar. Based on a short story of the same name by Saadat Hassan Manto, the film stars Sadiya Siddiqui, Irrfan Khan, Kay Kay Menon, Sheeba Chaddha, and others.
  5. Neeraj Sood was seen as Gopal in the 2003 dystopian tragedy film Matrubhoomi: A Nation Without Women. A critically-acclaimed film, it was awarded the FIPRESCI Award “For it’s [sic] important theme on women’s issues and female infanticide handled with sensitivity by a first-time director”.
  6. He brought to life the character of Lalwani in the 2009 Hindi-language comedy-drama film Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year, starring Ranbir Kapoor.
  7. In 2011, Neeraj Sood was cast in the recurring role of Bihari Raj (Krishna’s uncle and Vidyapati’s younger brother) in the Zee TV soap opera Afsar Bitiya.
  8. He appeared as Sugandha’s father in the Hindi-language romantic comedy film Shubh Mangal Saavdhan in 2017. Directed by R. S. Prasanna, the film is the remake of the director’s own Tamil film Kalyana Samayal Saadham (2013).
  9. Neeraj Sood played the recurring role of Dr. Kaksh Nath Dubey (Gulkand’s brother and Krishna’s father) in the Star Plus drama series Krishna Chali London in 2018.
  10. In 2022, he was seen as Harishankar Gupta (Sapna Gupta’s father) in the Hindi-language family comedy-drama film Raksha Bandhan. Directed by Anand L. Rai, the film stars Akshay Kumar, Bhumi Pednekar, Sadia Khateeb, and others.
  11. Neeraj Sood appeared as Purushottam Mama in the 2023 Hindi-language romantic comedy film Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, starring Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan. A sleeper hit, the film became the 6th-highest-grossing Hindi film of the year.
