- She was one of the original members of Kara along with Park Gyu-ri, Han Seung-yeon, and Nicole Jung. The group made their debut on March 29, 2007.
- Sadly, Sunghee left Kara on February 29, 2008, at the insistence of her father, who wanted her to focus on her studies instead.
- She shares her birth date with famous Hollywood celebrities such as Nikki Reed, Bob Saget, Trent Reznor, Craig Ferguson, Jordan Knight, Bill Paxton, Sugar Ray Leonard, Tahj Mowry, Josh Homme, Sasha Alexander, Hill Harper, and many more.
- Since 2010, Sunghee has been known to work as a vocal trainer.
- Out of all the members of Kara, she has spent the shortest amount of time in the group as her stint lasted for less than 1 year from March 2007 until February 2008.
- Kara reunited in 2022 on the occasion of their 15th anniversary. However, Sunghee was the only past member to not make her comeback with the group. The only other member was Hara, who had unfortunately committed suicide in November 2019.
