1. He made his first theatrical film appearance by playing the role of Jimmy in the horror film, Storm Warning, in 2007.
2. He played the character named Ian in the 2010 American biographical romantic drama film, Eat Pray Love, starring Julia Roberts.
3. From 2012 to 2014, David Lyons appeared as President/General Sebastian “Bas” Monroe, a former U.S. Marine Corps sergeant who co-founded the Monroe Republic, in the American post-apocalyptic science fiction television series, Revolution. He co-starred in the show alongside the likes of Billy Burke, Tracy Spiridakos, Giancarlo Esposito, Graham Rogers, and Elizabeth Mitchell.
4. Alongside Josh Duhamel, Julianne Hough, and Cobie Smulders, he co-starred playing Detective Kevin Tierney, Katie’s abusive husband, in Safe Haven, a 2013 American romantic drama fantasy thriller film which is an adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ 2010 novel of the same name.
