Zach Braff is an American actor, director, screenwriter, and producer who is best known for playing John ‘J.D.’ Dorian in the medical comedy-drama TV series Scrubs (2001–2010) for which he was nominated at the Satellite Awards (2005), the Primetime Emmy Awards (2005), and the Golden Globe Awards (2005, 2006, 2007) in the category of ‘Best Actor’. He is also well recognized for starring in films such as The Broken Hearts Club: A Romantic Comedy (2000), Garden State (2004), The Last Kiss (2006), and The Ex (2006). He had written, directed (debut), and compiled the soundtrack album for Garden State (2004) which gained a cult following and had also earned him a Grammy Award in 2005 for ‘Best Soundtrack Album’.
