- His adopted stage name “Lilliput” has been inspired form Lilliput and Blefuscu, two island nations in Jonathan Swift’s novel Gulliver’s Travels where Gulliver lands on an island inhabited by little people.
- Lilliput made his first Hindi film appearance by playing the role of Cheena in the 1985 musical romantic drama film Saagar, starring Rishi Kapoor, Kamal Haasan, Dimple Kapadia, Nadira, Saeed Jaffrey, and Satish Kaushik. The film became one of the highest-grossing films of 1985.
