2. She made her debut film appearance in Im Schatten des Glücks in 1919. However, her role was uncredited. Later, in 1923, Marlene was cast in her debut credited role as Kathrin in The Little Napoleon.
3. In her teenage years, Marlene developed an interest in theater and poetry.
4. Her mother was from an affluent Berlin family who owned a jewelry and clock-making firm.
