William Shatner is a Canadian actor, voiceover artist, author, producer, director, screenwriter, and singer who is best known for playing the iconic role of Captain James T. Kirk of the USS Enterprise in the Star Trek franchise. Over the years, he has received multiple accolades and honors and was appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada by Canadian Governor General Julie Payette in 2019.
