  1. In 1968, she shared her ‘Best Actress’ Academy Award for Funny Girl with Katharine Hepburn who won for her performance in The Lion in Winter. It marked the first time in Oscar’s history when the winners were tied in a category.

  3. She became the first woman to have a writer, director, producer, and starring credit for a major studio film with her award-winning movie, Yentl (1983).
