Luke Mitchell Facts

  1. While studying in school, he was never a big fan of drama. He only took drama classes for one term and that was also because it was compulsory during that year.
  2. While growing up, he aspired to become a professional tennis player and played it until the age of 19, when he gave it up after realizing he didn’t have anything in his life apart from tennis.
  3. In June 2009, he moved to Sydney for better acting opportunities. He moved to Los Angeles with his wife Rebecca for a similar reason.
  4. In his free time, he likes to watch movies, body boarding, and be amongst nature.
  5. He had initially turned down the role in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. because he didn’t want to waste his holidays. He had read about the character and felt that he wasn’t right for the part.
  6. When he eventually went in to audition for his role in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., he still had his holiday beard (he allows his beard to grow unchecked on holidays) and show creator Martin Gero loved it and signed him up.
  7. When he was initially signed up for the superhero TV series, he was signed up as a recurring guest for season 2, but his impressive acting and the importance of his character to the overall story led to him being made part of the regular cast from the next season.
  8. He played Quinn in the 2016 independent drama film Mothers and Daughters, starring Susan Sarandon, Christina Ricci, Sharon Stone, Eva Amurri, Courteney Cox, Paul Wesley, Roselyn Sánchez, E. G. Daily, Ashanti, Mira Sorvino, and Selma Blair.
  9. He co-starred as Eric in the 2020 horror thriller film Black Water: Abyss. The film serves as a standalone sequel to Black Water (2007).
  10. He brought to life the character of Rowdy King in the 2021 action thriller film Without Remorse (also known as Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse), starring Michael B. Jordan, Jamie Bell, Jodie Turner-Smith, Jacob Scipio, Jack Kesy, Lauren London, and Guy Pearce.
  11. In 2022, he started playing the recurring role of Cormac Barnes (Sunny and Buck’s son) in the crime drama thriller television series Big Sky.
