Luke Mitchell Facts
- While studying in school, he was never a big fan of drama. He only took drama classes for one term and that also because it was compulsory during that year.
- While growing up, he aspired to become a professional tennis player and played it until the age of 19, when he gave it up after realizing he didn’t have anything in his life apart from tennis.
- In June 2009, he moved to Sydney for better acting opportunities. He moved to Los Angeles with his wife Rebecca for the similar reason.
- In his free time, he likes to watch movies, body boarding and being amongst the nature.
- He had initially turned down the role in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. because he didn’t want to waste his holidays. He had read about the character and felt that he wasn’t right for it.
- When he eventually went in to audition for his role in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., he still had his holiday beard (he allows his beard to grow unchecked on holidays) and show creator Martin Gero loved it and signed him up.
- When he was initially signed up for the superhero TV series, he was signed up as a recurring guest for season 2, but his impressive acting and importance of his character to overall story led to him being made part of the regular cast from the next season.
