  2. He made his first theatrical film appearance as Crying Man in the 2015 biographical drama film Experimenter (also known as Experimenter: The Stanley Milgram Story), starring Peter Sarsgaard, Winona Ryder, Taryn Manning, Kellan Lutz, Anton Yelchin, John Leguizamo, Lori Singer, Dennis Haysbert, Anthony Edwards, and Jim Gaffigan.
  3. Mamoudou Athie was cast as Jared in the 2017 techno-thriller film The Circle. It stars Emma Watson, Tom Hanks, John Boyega, Karen Gillan, Ellar Coltrane, Patton Oswalt, Glenne Headly, and Bill Paxton.
  4. From 2018 to 2019, Mamoudou Athie played the role of Matt Greer (a high school English teacher and Leigh’s late husband who possessed aspirations of becoming a comic book artist) in the drama series Sorry for Your Loss.
